Coloured glazes, underglazes, must be ordered separately. Approximately five pots of 1 oz would be ample to paint a medium sized ceramic. If you want to give the whole ceramic a background of one colour you may need to order more of that one colour.

Ceramics that are glazed and fired are food safe. We do not recommend dish-washing and do not use in the microwave.

If you are taking prints of your child's hands or feet certain colours are better than others. Normally, when painting with a brush, you would layer the glazes to get a strong fired colour. When doing prints you only get one layer of paint/glaze so need enough pigment that one layer will show. If using a very dark colour it will stain the ceramic if you try and wipe it off. Our preferred colours for prints are : Pretty in Pink, Tahiti Teal, Lil Boy Blue, Old Yeller, Lime Ricky, Double Mint, Bouncin' Berry, Grape Slush, Arizona Sun and Orange Crush.
